About

Mende Snodgress is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work and a Law degree. She has specialized training in acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, client-focused therapy, EMDR and dialectical behavioral therapy. She has worked with adults and adolescents.

Most of her career has been spent in community mental health, including psychiatric emergency services and residential treatment. She became a social worker after realizing that, as a lawyer, she could not make a meaningful impact on the lives of people who most needed some support. She has worked with unhoused individuals with serious mental illness, trauma survivors, substance users, individuals with depression and anxiety and a myriad of other issues.

She believes in walking shoulder to shoulder with clients rather than looming over them with some sort of special knowledge and wisdom. Her goal is to be a loving presence in the lives of all her clients.

She loves her work but also likes being outdoors and hanging out with her pets and my family. She thinks becoming a social worker and all that it entails is the best decision she could have ever made.
