Brittany Gomola

LPC

About

Brittany Gomola is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Special Education teacher.

She is originally from New Jersey, where she received her B.A. in Psychology and completed her M.S. in Mental Health Counseling with all required internships. Her internships included working at a Child & Family Development Center in Trenton, NJ where she counseled inner-city youth struggling with emotional, educational and social needs. At the same time, she was an intern at a community mental health facility in Bridgewater, NJ. Once her academics were completed, she moved down to the Houston, TX area, and began as an ABA assistant working with young children with Autism.

In order to successfully become licensed as an LPC, she needed to earn hours counseling and she began as an LCDC at a substance abuse treatment facility and then applied for her LPC and began her private practice.

While working in private practice, she realized there was a great need within the education field for children and improving their socio-emotional health. She began the process of becoming a certified teacher in the state of Texas, where she is currently employed as a full-time teacher working with students with autism.
